4.3.4 Education outreach activities beyond campus
1- Participation in a workshop on leadership and creativity for girls at Al-Alia Secondary School
Within the vision of the College of Professions and Applied Sciences at Hebron University to spread the culture of leadership and creativity and introduce the College of Professions and Applied Sciences to the various academic levels, one of the teachers of the College of Professions, Mr. Zuhair Ahmad Al-Muhtaseb, and at the request of the school administration, held a workshop at Al-Samou’ Secondary School for Girls.
As an embodiment of the university’s policy of supporting the local community and within the community activities of the College of Agriculture, in cooperation with the Hebron Agriculture Directorate and with the support of the Land Foundation for Agricultural Development, students of practical courses in the Department of Plant Production participated in the olive harvesting event.
The Media Department opened a training workshop for more than 30 officers from various security services, entitled “The Role of Security Media in Protecting the Security and Stability of Palestinian Society,” in cooperation with the Political and National Guidance Authority.
The Department of Plant Production and Prevention at the College of Agriculture at Hebron University, in cooperation with the Cooperative Society of Palm Growers in Jericho, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture, and the Palestinian Palm Council, organized scientific lectures on palm cultivation in Palestine.
5- The College of Nursing organizes awareness activities within the Pink October activities
As part of the Pink Month activities, students of the College of Nursing, within the Community Health Nursing Practical course at Hebron University, and under the supervision of Professor Heba Badran, held a series of field visits to some remote areas and refugee areas in cooperation with the Medical Relief Society.
