17.4.2 Education for SDGs specific courses on sustainability
1- College of Agriculture participates in course on sustainable land management in Netherlands
The workshop, in which representatives of a number of Palestinian universities and institutions participated, included presenting a set of modern methods used to preserve land and its productivity and to stop degradation and erosion.
2- Sharia College participates in workshop with ICRC in Jordan
Mr. Fayez Abu Sarhan, representing the College of Sharia, participated in the workshop held by the International Committee of the Red Cross in Amman entitled: (Environmental Protection and Climate Change from the Perspective of Islamic Sharia and International Humanitarian Law).
The Alumni Unit at Hebron University is implementing a project entitled "Green Jobs and Sustainable Income Opportunities for Palestinian Young Women and Youth in the Agricultural and Food Business Sector" to promote social and economic stability among Palestinian university students, fresh graduates, and unemployed youth by facilitating access to decent and sustainable “green” job opportunities in the food and agricultural sector.
4- Alumni Unit holds training workshop entitled "Century Skills for the Labor Market 21st "
In cooperation with the Palestinian Employment Fund, the Alumni Unit at Hebron University held a training workshop entitled "21st Century Skills for the Labor Market" with 20 training hours over three consecutive days. The activity was implemented within the activities of the PALM project and was funded by the German cooperation GIZ.
