Participation in a nursing course on pain management

Mr. Ali Al-Batran, teacher at Faculty of Nursing/Hebron University, participated  in a specialized course that was held in the hospital of Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation on 4+5/12/2011, discussing methods of pain management.

The course was attended by Palestinian doctors and nurses from various health and educational institutions in the areas of Hebron and Bethlehem, in addition to a specialized medical team from Belgium.

The following topics were covered during the two days of the course:
• The causes of pain
• Types of pain
• Assessment of pain
• Methods of pain relief and treatment

Mr. Al-Batran from Hebron University presented a lecture on how to assess pain using PQRST method.

Faculty of Nursing will also participate in a complementary course on advanced pain management  early in 2012.
