The Faculty of Nursing hosted a training lecture on Thalassemia

The Faculty of Nursing at Hebron University hosted Mr. Mahmoud Daraghmeh, who works at the Palestinian Society of Thalassemia Patients Friends. Mr. Mahmoud gave a lecture to faculty students about Thalassemia disease and methods of its diagnosis. There was an extensive discussion between the lecturer and students about the need of pre-marriage examination for thalassemia due to its positive impact on reducing the new thalassemia cases. The discussion also included the psychological, social, and economic burden experienced by the family of the victim in specific and society in general.
