The Faculty of Nursing held a workshop on disability and rehabilitation

The Faculty of Nursing hosted the physiotherapist Ms. Wissal Shalaldeh and the specialist in rehabilitation Ms. Jumana Alami, within a workshop about disability and rehabilitation. The attendees were faculty students and teachers.

At the beginning of the workshop, Ms. Wissal Shalaldeh gave a lecture about disability concept, causes, treatment and ways to reduce complications in terms of rehabilitating the patient by team collaboration. The discussion focused on physiotherapy methods that are used depending on the special needs of every patient and how to develop the therapeutic plan for rehabilitation.

Then Ms. Jumana Alami explained the different tools and methods used in physiotherapy. The audience discussed how to use wax, water, electricity, ultra sound, infrared and movement equipment to strengthen patient’s muscles in physical rehabilitation.
