Attendance of a workshop on how to prepare syllabus on violence against women

A nursing faculty, Miss Suhair Al-Issa, attended a specialized workshop in how to prepare a curriculum of university course entitled "Violence against women".

The workshop was delivered on two phases by JUZOOR for Health and Social Development Institution. The first phase, which was held on 13/5/2011- 19/5/2011, discussed topics on the sciences of behavior, psychology, psychiatric, and legal affairs related to violence against women. Participants, who were mostly academics working in the Palestinian universities, were asked to submit their proposal for syllabuses on violence against women. The second phase held on 28/12/2011 to discuss amendments and final draft of the contents of the course.

At the end of the workshop, participants discussed the possibility of including this syllabus within the academic plans and to carry these recommendations to their Palestinian universities.
