Title: Development of Health Informatics integrated curricula in Computing and Health-oriented undergraduate degrees (HiCure)
Brief project description
The project outcomes will be applied in two mid-income south Mediterranean countries, Palestine and Jordan (and possibly Egypt), and involve three-five European member estates: UK, Sweden, Germany, Turkey and Portugal.
The specific objectives of this project are:
- to develop a health-informatics and related information technology focused set of courses as a net track that integrates with a number of undergraduate degrees to serve students in computing/computer science, public health, pharmacy and nursing.
- to develop mechanisms and related training material appropriate for each of the different domains to meet with one integrated objective of applied use of health-informatics methods and information technology tools within the respective domain.
- to develop a sustainable unit within involved local higher-education institutions with developed experts that are able to sustain and provide continual training.
- To develop a project dissemination framework that engages wider HEIs and local related governmental and non-governmental organisations and stakeholders through workshops, conferences at both local and regional levels.
