Hebron University Continues Showing Women's Films within Shashat 9th Festival
In continuation of the series of shows organized by Hebron University for Shashat Women's Films Association in Palestine, the Media Department at Hebron University showed a film "Paradise" that is directed by the young Swedish director, Ahang Bashi.
After presenting a short overview of the film and the director, Mrs. Sulaika al-Qadi, from Media department, discussed with the audience the idea of the film that revolves around the challenges that face immigrants in elderly care centers in Sweden and the need of having communication through speech.
The audience discussed the vocational and artistic aspects, and praised the idea that contains a humanitarian discussion that moves feelings towards older people from families and relatives, in addition to the awareness dimension raised by the film.
From his side, Dr. Said Shaheen, Head of Media Department at Hebron University, asserted the importance and humanitarian depth of the idea posed by the film since the idea focuses on an important category that faces marginalization and injustice from the young generations in the society.
