Hebron University Discusses Senior Seminar Projects for Students of the Applied Geography Department
The senior seminar committee for the students of the Applied Geography Department held a meeting. The coordinator of the deparment Dr. Hassan Al-Qaddoumi opened the meeting by welcoming the audience and the representatives of the institutions with the presence of a representative of the local government department engineer Arwa Abu-AlHayja, engineer Nayef Basayteh from the Engineering Department at Hebron University, supervisor Akram halahleh from the North hebron Directorate of Education, engineer tabal ‘Atiyyeh a representative of Yatta Municipality the head of Land Registration Department and engineer Muhammad Abu-‘Iram from the Planning department.
Among the most important projects which were presented are:” The ease of arriving at the service and how the service arrives to the citizens by using the best means and in the quickest possible time for the technology of geographical information systems”, prepared by students Muhammad Burqan and Fadia Wazwaz, and the project” Spatial analysis by using geographicl information system for studying the suitability of the land for building development in the town of Bani Nu’aim’ prepared by the students Muhammad bader ‘Asafreh and Ahmad Sawalheh and supervised by Dr. Hassan Al-Qaddoumi, the project “ Developing the tree cover in the western line area of the Hebron Governorate by using the geographical information systems: by students maha Abu-Munshar and Alaa’ Zalloum and supervised by Mr. Khalil Halahleh, and the project “Spatial organization for educational services in the city of Hebron by using the geographical information systems” prepared by students Israa’ Dofesh and Aya Al-lahham and supervised by Mr. Nazeeh Al-‘Adrah.
