HU College of Law and Political Science Meet with Public Prosecution to Discuss Academic Cooperation in Justice
The College of Law and Political Science at Hebron University participated in an extensive meeting organized by the Public Prosecution. The meeting was attended by His Excellency Attorney General Akram Al-Khatib and Assistant Attorney General Thaer Khalil. Deans of law colleges from various Palestinian universities also participated, aiming to enhance academic and practical cooperation in justice, particularly concerning juvenile justice and child rights.
Held at the Attorney General’s office in Ramallah, the meeting explored mechanisms to develop legal education by integrating theory and practice, expanding internship opportunities for law students in collaboration with the Public Prosecution. Discussions also highlighted the electronic platform launched by the Juvenile Protection Prosecution, which provides legal and statistical resources to support academic and training efforts.
Attorney General Al-Khatib emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration between academic institutions and the Public Prosecution to prepare a competent generation of legal professionals. Future plans to strengthen this partnership were also outlined, focusing on improving training programs to meet the needs of the legal job market.
HU College of Law reaffirmed its commitment to providing a modern educational environment that fosters practical experience for students and expanding cooperation with justice institutions in Palestine.
The meeting included deans of law colleges from Birzeit University, An-Najah National University, Al-Quds University, Al-Istiqlal University, Palestine Ahliya University, the Arab American University, and Hebron University, reflecting a unified vision toward preparing a capable legal generation that can effectively contribute to justice and the rule of law.
