HU Biology Students Visit Talitha Kumi EEC

Students from Hebron University Department of Biology visited the Talitha Kumi Environmental Education Center in Beit Jala, part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, to enhance their practical understanding of ecological concepts. Accompanied by Professor Suhail Al-Khatib, the students explored the center’s biodiversity exhibits, participated in field tours, and attended workshops on environmental awareness and sustainability.

The visit underscored the department’s efforts to bridge academic knowledge with real-world applications, equipping students to address environmental challenges.

The students, in turn, expressed their appreciation for the valuable practical experience they gained during the visit. They noted that it broadened their understanding of real-world applications of environmental concepts, such as biodiversity conservation, bird ringing, and the positive impact of sustainable practices like wastewater treatment.
