Hebron University Partners in EU-Backed NeuroDev Project Launched in Granada, Spain

 

The Neuropsychological Development Project (NeuroDev), funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ program, has officially launched at the University of Granada in Spain. Palestinian partner universities include Hebron University, Bethlehem University, and An-Najah National University, alongside European partners from the University of Granada and Clermont University in France.

The opening ceremony on February 24, 2025, was attended by University of Granada Vice President for International Relations Inmaculada Marrero Rocha. Hebron University was represented by Dr. Kamil Katalo, Dr. Muhammad Ajwa, and Mr. Anas Amro, who presented the vice president with a commemorative copy of "The Palestine Atlas" by author Ishaq Al-Haroub, showcasing Palestinian culture and heritage in Arabic and English.

The visit included a tour of the University of Granada, including its Brain and Behavior Research Center, and meetings to discuss the project's financial and administrative aspects. The NeuroDev project aims to establish specialized centers for neuropsychological growth at Palestinian universities, featuring three specialized units for research, evaluation, and services for children and parents.
