Hebron University Bids Farewell to Board of Trustees Chairman, Dr. Nabil Al-Jabri, Amid Grand Public Procession
In a solemn and distinguished ceremony, large crowds gathered on Saturday, March 8, 2025, to bid farewell to Dr. Nabil Muhammad Ali Al-Jabri (1945–2025), Chairman of Hebron University’s Board of Trustees. Following the funeral prayer at Namira Mosque after the noon prayer, his body was laid to rest in the family cemetery in the Ras area. Dr. Al-Jabri passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, in London, United Kingdom.
The funeral ceremony witnessed an outpouring of attendees from various sectors of Palestinian society, including national, political, social, and tribal representatives. Mourners from across Palestine also arrived to extend their condolences and pay tribute to Dr. Al-Jabri’s lifelong dedication and contributions.
Mourners expressed deep sorrow over Dr. Al-Jabri’s passing, emphasizing the profound impact his absence will leave in the national, social, and educational spheres. His contributions were widely recognized, and his influence spanned multiple fields, shaping the landscape of Palestinian education and public service.
Condolences will be received at Hebron University from Saturday, March 8, 2025, to Monday, March 10, 2025, between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM. The main square will be designated for men, while the university stadium, next to the Yasser Arafat Building, will be allocated for women.
Additionally, a mourning gathering will be held in Jerusalem on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the Commodore Hotel Hall in the Al-Sawana area, welcoming both men and women from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
