Hebron University Wins Southern WB Sports Championship for Palestinian Universities

Hebron University secured the Southern West Bank Sports Championship for Palestinian Universities, adding to its sporting achievements. The semi-league tournament featured fierce competition among universities such as Al-Quds Open University, Palestine Polytechnic University, and Khadouri University. It was held at the Hebron Municipality's Sports Hall.
The event was attended by prominent figures, including Mr. Qutaiba Alawneh from the University Sports Federation and Mr. Tariq Al-Shalalfa of the Federation’s Technical Committee, who praised the return of sports championships to Palestinian universities as a vital step for youth engagement.

Mr. Munir Al-Talahma stressed the role of such events in fostering student development despite Palestine’s challenges. International referees Yazid Yaqoub and Marwan Wazwaz were honored for their contributions, and the top teams were recognized: Al-Quds Open University placed third, Palestine Polytechnic University second, and Hebron University claimed the championship title.
The trophy was received by Hebron University’s coach, Captain Fayez Al-Muhtaseb.
