Abstract:
The study aims at identifying the degree of self-care skills practices among psychological counselors in UNRWA schools and its association to some variables. The study sample includes (112) counsellors working in UNRWA schools in south area (Khan Younis & Rafah) governorate. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method, where the self-care skills scale was applied. The results of the study showed that the degree of self-care skills practices is low among psychological counselors in UNRWA schools according to the means and the standard deviation, and there are no statistically significant differences in the average degree of self-care skills practices of the psychological counselors due to the gender variable, except for the spiritual self-care variable in favor of females. Also, there are no statistically significant differences due to variables of degree, specialization, or years of experience. The researcher recommends enhancing self-care skills for counselors, and applying the self-care questionnaire to other groups.
