Hebron University Alumni Unit Hosts a Charity Event Titled: "I Can"
Under the auspices of Dr. Nabil Al-Jabari, Chairman of Board of Trustees, and in corporation with Injaz Palestine, the alumni unit at the university hosted a charity event for the student initiative "I Can" which aims to merge disabled people within the society.
The event was attended by Mr. Mohammad Ziad Jabari, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Mr. Samih al-Dweik, chairman of Al-Ihsan Charitable society, members of the society, a number of faculties' deans, professors and students from Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum School.
Dr. Nabil Al-Jabari expressed his pride of all the work that the society is presenting for the disabled in the Palestinian society, and added that what strengthens our society are people who provide such care to the needy. He also thanked the university alumni unit and the students who superintend and started the initiative.
In his speech, Mr. Samih al-Dweik thanked Hebron University for All the efforts offered helping the Palestinian society. He also added that the society is a true role model for all the help that it provided for the people with disabilities for over 30 years. He affirmed that Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum School aims to provide education, training and rehabilitation opportunities for people with mental disabilities, "slow learners" and autistic children in order to reach social integration consistent with their abilities.
At the end of the event, the audience was called to attend a handcraft gallery made by the students of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum School.
