Preliminary results

Preliminary results (May 2019)

  1. Presence of coliform bacteria in a number of water sources in the region, especially near the wastewater, and the pollution of the large quantities above limits allowed locally and globally.
  2. There is evidence of heavy metals in the water, around wells and springs near the waste and waste water dump
  3. Through field measurements and field surveying, there is a very close distance between water sources (springs and wells) and wastewater.
  4. The Population lives adjacent to the wastewater stream in the area.
  5. High percentage of heavy elements and bacteria in the soil, due to flood of wastewater on agricultural land.
  6. Deterioration in a number of agricultural areas in the region, especially near the wastewater. Farmers and residents complain of the spread of pollution from wastewater.
