Agricultural Environmental Management for Wadi Al-Semin
Introduction
Wadi al-Semin is one of the most important aqueducts that feed the eastern aquifer in the West Bank, which is located in the eastern part of Hebron governorate. However, as the area of the industrial zone and the Palestinian population in Hebron and the Israeli communities increased, wastewater and quarry residues have increased to Wadi al-Semin. This has led to the transformation of Wadi al Semin from a valley that runs with fresh water in the winter to a valley where the wastewater is running throughout the year.
The valley is surrounded by large areas of agricultural land, a number of springs and wells, and vegetation in the area, making the area of environmental and agricultural importance.
