Agricultural Environmental Management for Wadi Al-Semin
Geographical area
Wadi al- Semin, south of the West Bank, is located on the south-east of Hebron. The Wadi al- Semin basin starts from the area of Hilla, north of Yatta, near the Israeli settlement of Kiryat Arba. It runs through Wadi Sada and Wadi Abu al-Ful, near the Israeli settlement of Athena and Palestinian communities such as: Abu al-Ghazlan, Abu al-Asja and al-Dhahiriya, for more than 45 km.
The Mediterranean region is characterized by a temperate climate, rain in the winter. The southern part of Wadi al- Semin is affected by desert and dry effects. The mountains around the valley are part of the geological section composed of sedimentary rocks. The height of the mountains in this area is between 300 - 670 meters.
