ملخص البحث

الملخـــص:

هدفت الدراسة إلى قياس مستوى النرجسية لدى عينة من الطلبة الجامعيين، من خلال تطوير نسخة عربية من مقياس الشخصية النرجسية( Narcissistic Personality Inventory Scale (NPI. كما وحاولت تفحص دلالة الفروق بين مستويات كل من: جنس الطالب الجامعي، معدله التراكمي، الكلية التي يدرس فيها،السنة الدراسية في مستوى النرجسية. توصلت الدراسة إلى نسخة عربية لمقياس الشخصية النرجسية بخصائص سيكومترية مقبولة وذلك من خلال تطبيقها على عينة الدراسة (ن=344)؛ حيث كانت الارتباطات بين استجابات الطلبة على فقرات المقياس والدرجة الكلية دالة إحصائياً عند مستوى دلالة α= 0.05، وكانت الفروق بين استجابات المجموعتين (العليا والدنيا) دالة إحصائياً عند مستوى دلالة α= 0.01 لجميع فقرات المقياس.

كما وبينت نتائج التحليل العاملي التوكيدي ان النسخة العربية من مقياس الشخصية النرجسية أحادي البعد.  وفيما يتعلق بتقدير درجة ثبات المقياس، توصلت الدراسة إلى ان المقياس يتمتع باتساق داخلي جيد، حيث كانت قيمة الفا كرونباخ= 0.877، وقيمة معامل ارتباط سبيرمان المصحح= 0.836.   كما وتوصلت الدراسة إلى وجود فروق دالة إحصائياً لكل من متغيرات: النوع الاجتماعي، والسنة الدراسة، ومعدل الطالب التراكمي على مستوى النرجسية، والفروق التي تعزى إلى متغير الكلية لم تكن دالة إحصائياً. 



Abstract :

The study aimed to measure the level of narcissism in a sample of university students, through the development of an Arabic version of the measure of Narcissistic Personality Inventory Scale (NPI). It also tried to examine the significance of differences between the levels of each of: Gender, GPA, faculty, and level of study on Narcissism.

 The data were collected from 344 male and female undergraduate students from different academic levels at al-Zarqa University in Jordan in the academic year 2012/2013.       
 
The study found an Arabic version of the NPI Scale with acceptable Psychometric properties; where the correlations between the items responses and the total score is statistically significant at the level of significance α = 0.05, and the differences between the responses of the two groups (upper and lower) are statistically significant at the level of significance α = 0.01 for all items. The results of factor analysis showed that the Arabic version of the measure narcissistic personality is unidimension.
 
The study found that the questionner has good internal consistency, where the value of the Cronbach Alpha = 0.877, and the value of the Spearman correlation coefficient = 0.836. The results indicated that there were significant differences (α= 0.05) for each of the variables: Gender, GPA, and level of study, and not statistically significant for faculty.
