The Biology Department of Hebron University is committed to excellence in undergraduate education by offering a broad-based curriculum complete with current knowledge and the technical skills required for professional biologists, Through strong faculty mentoring, classroom instruction, laboratory experiences, undergraduate research opportunities, internships, professional affiliations, and extracurricular activities. The biology department was established in 1987 with two academic programs at the Bachelor level aiming to provide an appropriate scientific infrastructure, both theoretically and practically. The faculty consists of 10 members. The student’s number is about 170 till the year 2010. The graduated students from the department are more than 350, where the majority is working as teachers in different high schools. A number of talented graduated students from the department had obtained scholarships to continue their higher education at well recognized international universities. In addition to teaching-labs, the department has a research lab to carry researches in biology and other relative fields.
