Since its foundation, Hebron University (HU) has taken concrete steps to achieve its goals and strategic plans. In fact, it has achieved an impressive academic reputation both locally and globally. To enhance HU role in serving the Palestinian society, to achieve sustainable human development, to build a knowledge society and to keep pace with technological development, the (FST) was established in 1986. |

FST is distinguished by the qualitative development of its instructional level, faculty efficiency and curriculum comprehensiveness and flexibility at all stages of teaching. FST graduates have proved to be competent and competitive in all academic and industrial sectors at both national and international levels through either their work in these sectors or enrollment in postgraduate programs in Arab as well as non-Arab universities.
FST has worked hard to be an active partner in the efforts exerted to improve the quality of higher education at HU. It has worked to provide an academic environment characterized by freedom of creativity, excellence and leadership. To achieve this policy, FST distinguished members have designed and adopted an outstanding academic plans and curricula which are in line with the requirements of the international norms and standards of education.
At the beginning of the academic year 2011/2012, the number of FST male and female students has become 900, distributed over five disciplines: mathematics, chemistry, biology, computer, and web & multimedia technology.
Over (1762) students have graduated from FST since its establishment. FST seeks to offer other disciplines which serve the Palestinian society. It also plans to start master's degree programs in some of the current disciplines, and establish an office for marketing graduates in coordination with HU Alumni Unit.
