Computer Science Dep

The computer science program in Computer Science Department was established in the academic year 1998/1999, while the Technology and its Teaching Methods was established in the academic year 2009/2010. The number of academic and administrative staff at the department stands at 16 in the academic year 2009/2010, among them 4 members are PhD candidates. The number of students majoring in computer science is 100, and the science students who are not majoring is 80, where many of them are expected to join the CS program. Also 20 students are majoring in Technology and its Teaching Methods program.

The department of computer science has six computer laboratories, containing over 175 workstations, several laser printers, data shows, and other resources shared through secured local area network. In addition, strong relations are maintained between computer science department and other faculties and departments within the university in providing computing services, consultations, and training.
